The only existing outpost of the world famous ballet school from Moscow is in a small town in the south of Brazil. Since the school is free, many children from poor economic backgrounds get the chance to join, if they manage the admission process where about 160 people compete for one spot. Luis Fernando Rego, who was born in the Complexo do Alemão favela in Rio de Janeiro made it, and is now in his final year - once graduated he will have the chance to dance at companies all around the world.
